An original Eddy expression study in red and blue pencil, hand-drawn by me — Raven Molisee — in 2005, as a warm-up before boarding the Ed, Edd n Eddy episode "Mission Ed-Possible."

This is the kind of drawing that happens before the real work starts... loosening up, chasing the right expression, layering red and blue until the face lands. I scrawled "Slightly Desperate. ARGH." at the bottom, which pretty much says it all. It's Eddy mid-meltdown, drawn fast and full of energy, on punched animation paper from my time on the show.

I kept a lot of my paperwork over the years, and this is one of my favorites of the loose ones — it's the moment an artist actually finds the face. There's only one of it.

This will not be reproduced as a print. When it's gone, it's gone.
