I did these around the time we were doing "A Fistful Of Ed".

Double Dee is such a lonely kid when you get right down to it. I always imagined him as a warm presence in a house full of cold distant people.

Page 1. THE RED ROUGHS - These came first when I was listening to a song called "What the Snowman Learned About Love" by Stars. It captures the feeling I described. Thawing from the cold life you've been born into. Realizing you have thoughts, opinions, emotions.

Page 2. PYRAMID SONG - I inked one of the poses from the rough page. I listened to "Pyramid Song" by Radiohead on repeat to get me into the right channel. If you’re unfamiliar with the show, Double Dee's parents communicate with him solely through sticky notes.
