These are some concept drawings I did while I was writing and storyboarding for the Steven Universe episode "An Indirect Kiss."

Before there was a design for the fountain, I drew these images of the Crystal Gems finding Rose's fountain.

I was searching for a similar feeling to the beginning of the movie "Return To Oz" where Dorothy is first confronted by the land she knew, now a world of loss and decay.

I drew these in pen/ink and ink.
